After Mills, Veronica worked on Master’s in Library Science, and focused most of her time in that field. But Book Art was always on her mind, and something she wanted to come back to, so in 2023 she quit the library to focus on Book Art full time.
Books have always been a main focus in Veronica’s world. In fact, her first word was ‘booka’. While growing up books were always within reach, while art, even though she was curious about it, it always seemed out of reach. Even as she grew older and learned about art she never saw herself creating it. When she was accepted into Mills, her world of art opened more as she learned about and how to create Book Art. She studied and minored in Book Art at Mills College under Julie Chen and Kathleen Walkup, in 2012. During this time she learned various structures, and how to run and operate a Vandercook press. While Veronica earned a Master’s Degree, she worked as a Book Art assistant, to help current students with their projects. She also ran a workshop for Book Art students once a semester when she held this position. Currently, she makes artist books, linoleum prints, and zines in her studio. Veronica is currently a member of the Bay Area Book Artists (BABA) and the Laurie Moorhead Zine collection.
